The PL-980 is a 3-way, six-driver tower speaker designed for both music and home theater, featuring two 8" active woofers and two 8" passive radiators for deep, extended bass without port noise.
The speaker has a 5" closed-back midrange driver for clean, detailed midrange response and a 6.5" mid/high frequency horn tweeter for high output up to 119 dB.
The speaker boasts a frequency response of 22Hz-23kHz, sensitivity of 98dB, and can handle 10-300 watts per channel RMS, making it suitable for a wide range of audio setups.
Recommended placement is 18"-36" from the front of the speaker to the wall behind it, with typical placement at 24", allowing flexibility based on room size and personal sound preferences.
